Well I guess I better start somewhere..
So this blog is going to detail everything that I get up to over the next year and oh boy it should be a good year!
So to fill you in and paint the picture a bit..I have just finished my studies at University. This has basically consisted of 10 years education. Yes TEN years! Firstly I spent 4 (5 when you factor in a repeat year) years completing my BSc in Biotechnology, after that I thought I would go travelling, but ended up starting an MSc in Nanotechnology ( I nearly wrote Manotechnology there..I wish!) and because that was a research project that was a 2 year commitment. I guess the desire to do research was ignoted in me during that MSc and got some advice from one of the lecturers in my college who said that If I liked research and didn't have a PhD I would eventually hit the glass ceiling. So what did I decide to do...a PhD of course which was another 3 years..hmmm the maths is righ 5 years BSC+ 2 years MSc + 3 years (going into 4) PhD =10 years in University. And now finally I am finished. Well almost. Im in the midst of writing my thesis, which I absolutely hate. Some people are natural writers. I am not. Its painful and soul destroying. Slight exaggeration I kidd you not! But once I submit (hopefully end of Feb) I will embark on the adventure I have been waiting for for 10 years. And im terrified. So I guess this blog will be a place for me to vent, rant, pour my heart out to, celebrate, rejoice, communicate and inform the world of how Im doing. Does it sound like your kind of thing? If so follow my tales. I dont know where I will be or how I will do but I will do my best. And I have one goal. Live my life to the fullest and not miss out on ANY opportunity. I waited 10 years and Im ready for this...
So I guess its over and out for now...
